Can I install this on my 05 fxsti at home and adjust it with my laptop or does it need installed and adjusted at the dealer?

 

...and I'm reviewing the operators guide as we speak. It appears that you can make adjustments from your pc. You can also save previous settings and flash your EPROM yourself based on "selectable" modifications. One thing I didn't know until reading the manual is that this SERT becomes married to the bike it gets attached to... It can never be used again on a different bike.

I haven't actually replaced the AC on my bike yet, so I as soon as the mechanical work is done, I'll be plugging everything in then. The manual is lacking in some basic requirements like installation diagrams, and the latest version I have doesn't include the SERT model number... So I'm hoping that once I get into the process that the proper settings get DLL'd as I need them. Of course I have much more reading, but to answer your question. YES.
But don't buy a used one because it will not work.
