were to start my dad built a shovel head bottom end with a panhead top end i tried to convert it to electronic ignition to do away with the points and for some reason they would not work so im trying to put the points back in it and all i can get it to do is pop and crack and run backwards never the less i did not change the timing at all what is the first thing i should check befor i tried to changer it over it was a easy start on the first kick most of the time any help would be great the set up it is a shovelhead bottom end with andrews b cams s&s shorty super e with duel plug heads like i said befor i tried to change it over it started easy and know its caughing thru the carb and trying to throw me over the handel bars when im kicking it i know its something easy please help
