Generator light
I'm doing a restoration on an old 80-80 Police bike. The wiring is a mess, so I'm working to clean it up. As typical with these old bikes, the wiring is pretty simple, but I cannot figure out what is supposed to turn on the 'GEN' light on the consol if there is a problem with the charging ckt.
The schematic I have doesn't even show a "GEN" light, but instead refers to a 'volt meter', which is definately not on this bike.
Can anyone share with me the theory of operation of the charging ckt as it relates to turning on the "GEN" light.
Sure would appreciate it.
