Default Having to jump my SG to get it started.

Im having trouble with my 09 Street Glide. I bought it back in Oct and had symptoms of a bad battery (turned over slow, but started) (then would not start unless I jumped it, but would start up ok for the rest of the day.
So I went ahead and replaced the battery. Seemed to be fine after that.
Fast forward to Jan, didnt ride at all in Dec. The first time I go out to ride dead.... (by the way it was on a battery tender)
So tonight i took the battery out and took it down and had it tester. Showed all good 75% charge. Put it back in the bike still would not start. When my wife got home i hooked the cables up and and left her car running for about 15mins. I then disconnected the cables to see if it would start on its own. Busted right off. Took it for about a 1/2 ride, pulled back in the garage killed it and tried to start it again. Yep thats right wont start.

low voltage kills components.Starter could be stinking as well as cables etc.

Have the battery load tested for a dead cell.

I have been looking for a good bagger for about a yr----------it seems like everything I have ridden has had a voltage issue up to about 2011.You take them and ride them and the volt meter on the dash is pegged out. Each one has needed a jump start to get going.I started taking my volt meter along on my serch and found most of them were maxed out voltage wise and had boiled the battery dry.Now which came first the dry battery or the over charge is a good question that could only be answered by the owners-----they are reluctant to answer .all but one stated the guage was wrong as well as my voltmeter. One said ne had noticed it but didnt know and didnt care because he needed a house payment.

I never checked age of the battery but had several load tested that were junk-------So the next question is did the junk battery take out the regulator causing the over charge or ????If a person was around it for a while you should be able to easily diagnose the problem------hopefully before it cooks the stator

1) You can't test a battery that's only 75% charged. It needs a full charge.

2) Never try to charge off a vehicle that has a higher output than what you're trying to start.
