Default BS or not???

I have a 2006 Road King Classic, it has the SE air cleaner and mufflers with the Stage 1 download. I have added the Fullsac dual kit and a PCIII usb.

I called the local dealer that is listed as a Dynojet tech center on there website (Dynojet). They quoted me 4 hours to dyno tune the bike since they it has dual exhaust? He also stated to me that it won't be perfect and the 06 models have a few hickups?

Can you guys clarify this for me I havn't heard of any problems on the 06's and why does the dual exhaust make it take 4 hours? The labor is 75 and hour with 20% off till the end of Feb. so it will come to about 240.00 does this sound fair? Thanx in advance for the help.

My 2 cents - I am in the process of putting on new pipes, pcIII, KN air filter kit. In this endeavor, I have called about 4 to 5 local dyno shops, one a HD dealer. I have heard from $200 to $400. So, it sounds in the right area of time and price.

I haven't heard of any hickups with 06's, other than them being a little leaner in stock condition due to tougher EPA requirements. I think the PCIIIshould be able to be adjusted to correct this. I am on my way to the tuner now to have my PCIII installed and tuned, so I will update you when I get back. I spoke to an HD dealer that sells PCIII's and he reccomended the PCIII for any bike that is 2006 or older, and he reccomended the SERT for 07's. There have been some posts with people having trouble on the 07's with PCIII's.

No hiccups here and I've had my PCIII (with canned map-no dyno) installed for about 2,000 miles now...I think I'm one of the few, the proud, the no-dyno-with-my-PCIII owners.

I am running a PClll on my 2006 Road Glide with 10,000 miles and no problems. Actully it is running better as it got rid of the hesitation on hot start up and accleration. I have the SE air kit and SE mufflers for mods and running the canned map for my application.

No problems with mine. Took about 1.5 hours to tune. I have duals, just not side by side duals.

Cost me $375 flat fee.

If my tuner said they can't make it perfect, I'd find a new tuner.

Yeah I agree with Rhubarb. My shop estimated approzimately 3hrs time for a SERT in my '07 and they charge time and material (which should just be time) @ $61/hr. I'm waiting until later spring though.
