Been wondering about remaping a stock ECM. After the ECM is down loaded with a new map, such as from a TTS Master tune, Is there a chance that it could loose it's map or memory later on down the road, or do they tell you to keep the interface with the bike for tuning purposes. Has anyone, or do you know of anyone having a problem like this ?
Thanks Jonnierock

rule of thumb is if you head out of town, take the TTS (or whatever tuning device it is) with you. This way if you break down and have to get to a HD shop, 1) you can revert back to the stock map if needed and 2) in case the ECM does lose it's mapping, you can reload your tuned map.
Yes it is very possible for the ECM to lose it's mapping and need to be reloaded. Hasn't happened to me but I've seen and read where it's happened to others.
