Default SERT on stocker

I have an 07 Classic, when I purchased the bike I received a $500 gift card to use to purchase accesories at %10 off list from this dealer. Question is, for the first 2k or so I want to leave the bike stock, so would it be of any advantage to me if I have the sert installed on a totally stock motor, and if so is there a map on cd for such an install?

Thanks

The closest map would be for air cleaner and mufflers. The only advantage would be that you could use the O2's to control to a slightly richer mixture, and that in the future you could reflash it for the appropriate build.

A sert is just a computer interface and a CD of sample downloads, not something that's physically installed and left there. It's just going to sit on a your shelfuntil you do something like AC & pipe mods.

Assuming that your gift card will not expire by then, I would drive the stock 2000 miles, then get a SERT with my mods, then have it custom dyno tuned by a good SERT tuner. The reason I would wait is just in case a better ECM mouse trap comes along before then, like SERT II, in this HD world of rapid paced, leap froggingtechnology.
