Pretty cool. Rather expensive.

Not sure how practical this would be. Are we supposed to mount it on our bikes and watch it while riding?

If you're comfortable with setting up your own maps, this is what you need. It will log how your bike is running and you can use that data to adjust your map. Heck, you can even allow for going over the mountains by changing the map as you go, on your trip circumventing the lower 48! [8D]

By the time you get this mounted, etc. you've paid for two dyno tunes... so if you're going to be changing your bike on a regular basis, you would want one. Me... I would rather ride and pay for a dyno every few years, assuming that I'm going to keep my bike that long and continue to modify it.

It's a hard call, I think... But if you have a bunch of buddies with PC's, well, then, sharing the cost and using the thing to tune your bikes would be a really good idea! You still need a laptop, however. Seems like you should be able to just buy the software, put your laptop in your saddle bags and hook up the usb cable, and log the data that way... ugly but certainly cheaper!

Looking at their site again, I can't make out what info is given on the display, and IMO the description is poor. On the display I see (left to right):

? Position
Throttle %
Duty Cycle
Map ? (Position, I think)
?

So how is this going to help me tune the bike on the fly? What is it logging? I must be missing something here, and a manual to download would be nice. Didn't see one on the download list.
