Runs like crap, backfires, stalls out. It's a 2001 Road king I've had for 6 months, it started acting up so I took it to the dealer they did the 30k tune up changed the plugs and reset the ecu (magnetti) it road great for 60 miles or so and now popin weasin and dying again, plugs are black sooty, any help ?

Sounds like the head temperature sensor thinks the engine is cold. Was it replaced? It isn't that expensive and easy to get to if you remove the horn.

 

No, it was not replaced, I took it back to the dealer today, but I've lost my confidence in them. I only took it back because I thought they may take some kind of ownership over their mistake, it doesnt sound as if they will, last time they had it 3 weeks, this time he says it will be 1 week before he can look at it. I drove it to the dealership it seems to be running on only 1 cylinder.
