Am I going to hear alot of intake hiss or any other noise other than the quietness I'm enjoying now(stock) when I put the Stage I air cleaner on. I'm probably going with the SE A/C with a K&N filter and use my stock cover.

Noise - none. Performance potential, a whole lot better. Please advise your wife that Harley's do not make noise - they orchestrate road music!
SEa/c is not a K&N filter. Nor is the Big Sucker.
If you want a K&N then buy their kit. You can of course replace the SE filter with a K&N..I belive part # HD-0800. Bottom line, all three are more than adequate for your needs at this point. If in no rush, you can buy SE & AMBS Stage 1from Eastern Performance, a sponsor of this invaluable forum.

Normal riding you ain't gonna hear nothing. You get on it maybe a little more. Let em breathe and blow like they should.

 

Got Stage 1 air cleaner & filter on my Sporty. I'm not aware of any noise from the air cleaner. Having said that the Screamin Eagle pipes are so LOUD I guess I wouldn't hear anything anyway! Theincrease in performance is very noticeable.

Loud pipes save lives!

 

Yep, if thats a problem just go to louder pipes.

 

If you are running stock pipes, you can notice a big difference in the intake sucking at wide open throttle. It's a nice vacuum sound like from a 4 barrel opening up, not an annoying hiss.
