Default SEPST...ignorance is bliss...but

I have an 07 Touring, 103 with 204 cams...loaded closest map 176PS005.dt0, which has 255 cams....did the Smart Tune...saved changes...and reloaded....bike runs fine

BUT

now that I have been playing with the software I see there is a map for 09 Touring, 103 with 204 cams. The spark advance tables show different timing for the 204's, which I actually have, and the 255's which is the map I loaded.

Should I transfer all the spark advance settings from the 09 map with 204's to my 07 map with 255's?

I have tried to attach a scan of the timing tables from the two maps both in PDF and .DOC format but upload keeps failing.

You can copy and paste the timing values from one map the other. Ride it and record data (not in smart tune mode) and check for knock.

Tried copying and pasting the timing values but some cells would not change. Found a map for my exact year, model and set up except 96" not 103". Loaded it, raised the CID to 103, saved, uploaded to ECM, went for a ride...WOW...tach spins like a fan. Did a Smart Tune run for an hour, adjusted AFR's to maximum 13.9....saved, reloaded etc, etc. VERY noticeable difference in seat of the pants Dyno.

Soooo that's my point, ignorance is bliss, I had a map that ran good and I was quite satisfied...then I learned a little more and got a little more. I'm sure a real Dyno session would squeeze out more, but for the moment, that's it for me.
