Default Runs ruff

I have a 1986 wide glide with the stock junk carb it fires right up but the the more throttle i give it as i shift it seems like the the choke is on or its running out of gas. And the plugs are always black when i take'm out,Clean them ride for a mile and there black again Im think'n new coil or something carb. Thanks for any help

Hey man. I by no means have a solution for you. More of a question... Since I'm mechanically challenged. How do you clean your spark plugs? I thought once they were fouled they were done for.

1) Check for spark; if ok, then look at carb
2) Carb; take it apart see if your float is stuck or just plain broke (cracked) and filling up with raw gas.

Did you find the problem to be the coil or carb?

Havent had a chance to take the carb apart yet i truck over the road. But i am get'n spark to the plugs

Had the carb rebuilt and still runs like ****.

Had the carb rebuilt at a bike shop put new plugs in runs good for 6 or 7 miles then falls on its face pull the plugs and clean'm then runs fine again then does it again. Try'n a new coil next. If that dont work gona try a bullet
