Default Rear Lights

Sportster 2000 3000 miles. I just purchased this bike. Key in the acc position rear lights/brakes work fine. Key in the run position and rear lights not working. Everything else seems to be ok. I am guessing that something is wrong with the ignition switch. Thoughts, Ideas?

The lights aren't an accessory (ACC). It's for those who have a radio, (which is an accessory). So they can listen to the radio with the lights off, while parked, and not put extra drain on battery.

I was thinking along those lines, but tail light was flickering on the initial ride home and brake lights were working fine, according to the person that gave me a ride to buy it. As time went on and now in the garage, no taillights at all and brake light only worked with key in the acc position. I flipped through the wire diag. and thought about it for awhile. I knew it could not be a fuse but went out and checked them anyway. Then I followed the rear light harness from the light to the connection under the seat. I found when I moved some wires everything worked. I narrowed it down to two possible wires at the end of the connector. I pulled connector apart and just slightly bent both prongs and now all is well. Thanks, Chip
