At times it will start running really rough, some times a minute or two other times a lot longer.
I tried to check for any codes, not the easiest thing to do counting the flashes.
The best I can determine is barometric pressure sensor which of course my parts manual shows carb only. My repair manual says different, even gives a code for EFI. I'm even thinking the engine temperature sensor.
If any body has dealt with these before I would appreciate any help.

If i remember my manual right on my 01, the barometric pressure sensor is behind the ECM. I haven't had to change mine yet, but was thumbing thru the factory manual and it showed it there. Again, i'm trying to go by memory as the manual is in the bike at home while i'm in the camper at the lake.

 

The rapid flash is nothing..it is the slow flash that matters and it is the slow flash that is counted..
Engine temp. sensor causes weird stuff and some have said that you can test for resistance values by looking in the service book for year and model...what about the idle control? you got the book?
