I got zero replies on my other thread, so here goes again. I have no fire on my 92 FXSTC. Ignition coil, plugs, wires, battery, and stator are brand new. I don't know a whole lot about motorcycles, I just want to fix it and ride it again. What other parts are there in the ignition I could replace? I have a little black box sitting under my seat that I've been told has something to do with the fire (again, I don't know) and following the wires down under the oil tank I found a small metal box (It looks like either a resistor or a module of some type, there are no markings on it.) This box has 2 posts/bolts on it which wires attach through using terminals.

 

I'm no expert on EVOs. Try the ignition module. It's down in the cam cover, behind the small round cover.
