Default Which SERT map profile to use.....

Posted this in another forum a couple of days ago but as yet no response. Thought I'd also ask here.I've read it stated that the 26g cam "grind" is closer to a 203 cam, then elsewhere I read someone stating that it is closer to the 204 cam. I've looked up the comparison numbers/values for all three but I guess I just don't know how to evaluate/compare what I'm reading irt timing and which are the "important" values.

Until I get it dyno tuned next year, which cam profile in a Sert map would be better to load in my Stage II SG w/26g cam ? The 203 or 204 ?

TIA

In the SERT, the only cams you are going to see for a 95 Stage II BB is the 203's.....

What map did you see that had 204's in it from the SERT???????

You should be able to dump the Stage 2 with 203 cam map in there and be close enough to get you by, I would check the plugsafter riding it and not beat on it. When my build was done with the TW37 cam they dumped the Stage 2 with 203 cam map in to get me buy while I broke in the build before putting it on the Dyno.I had no issues and kept the RPM's below 3,500.

Curious....how much did the map change after u had it dyno'd? I'm installing the 37g's along with SE Pro heads cc'ed for 9.7 cr

My eyes must have glazed over...I saw 251, CVO253, 257,258, 264, and the 203. Guess I was reading more into the tables then what was really there.

Sorry for the ill-researched question.

The bottom end of the map didn't change much, most of the changes were in the higher RPM and throttle ranges. When I had the bike put on the Dyno I ask the guy not to go nuts and kill my gas mileage by tuning it for max hp and torque, I know I left some on the table but don't much worry about it. I do most of my riding with folks that can get 180 - 200 miles between gas stops so that was a big issue I had when it was tuned. The only issues that I have found is there are a couple spotsI've found riding 2 up that I will get a slight amount of ping iftrying to roll on going up a hill. I have to retune things nowsince I changed my exhaust from factory headers with SE slip on to a 2:1.
