I want to know why my 2011 fat bob wont idle after getting her 20k service?1 I pissed

 

Probably something simple...still sucks. Check your oil too. Mine is usually a half quart down when I get mine back.

Oil level? No. First thing I'd do is drive it through their front door...kidding of course. Besides that, check the intake that the bolts are all tight. Everything look normal? Clear? After that, see suggestion one. I'm clueless.

 

I've seen postings here & there about the backing plate cracking. Seems an isolated problem tho. I know of one case where Ness shipped out a replacement to a guy ASAP!

did you have the dealer do the service? was it idling okay when you picked it up? if not, i wouldn't have accepted it from them until they made it right. it idled when you brought it in, should idle when you pick it up.

but, since you have it now, check all the simple things first. any intake leaks, loose plug wires, is the iac dirty? bad gas? bad plugs? constricted air filter?

 

Dealer did it seemed fine when I got it. next day not so much was fine before service. Now it's popping and cracking and wont idle I can put some octane booster into it but 2 bikes ( street bob and sportster) filled up at the same gas station not a problem. very thing else seems fine.

If you posted an image I cant see it. It appears to be bad or low octane gas I put 91 like normal and a bit of boost shes idling fine now. Its kind of funny that it should happen after my 20k service. (not ha ha funny).
