Thanks 1SE, it will not load a spark table to the tuner. I does show ICM info, I am just trying to get it to do SOMETHING.... I am getting very frustrated with this pos. I will hook it all up again and let you know exactly what I'm doing.
thanks,
Kevin.
You need to manually load it
Open IRT
Hit accept
click tools
click spark table
click load from PC (pick the right one)
Download sends it to the bike
Upload retreives it from the bike once modified and sent.

My guess is, you need to update your SERT Version. Is it possible you are trying to load an 04 version in an 06 bike. I see the latest version is B which I think would be required for an 06.
You can purchase the latest version of the software at the dealer for $19.95.

KANSRKneeds32124-04B (carb) not32107-01F (EFI).

As long as you brought it up. My 32107-01F came with aCDstamped H. If you go to
HELPABOUTin the Tuning Software. It brings up a box.

Version 4.6.0
Build date 16-June-2006.

Iassume the build datewould be a few months sooner than the release date? What Rev and build date does yours show? Just curious if you have more "07MAPS" Mine has 23 "07 MAPS"

He is talking about the SE IRT, not the EFI Sert. Read his post. Everyone going on about the EFI Sert is just muddying the waters.

Thanks guys, 1SE is correct, it is the SE Ignition Race Tuner for a carb bike, not a SERT for EFI,
I should have titled my post correctly..... IRT will not load...
I had some time today to mess with it again, here's what I have done,
open IRT
click accept
choose tools then spark table
choose the table I want
click load from pc.
it loads the table
click download.....

that's as far as it will go, I get a pop-up window saying;

"you must update this module prior to continue. Do you want to update the calibration now?" yes or no.

so I click yes, "calibration tool" window opens up, saying "you must update this module first" so I choose the calibration I want,
click "update calibration" I get a pop-up window "you can not download this calibration" I tried every calibration
that is listed, same result. restart the IRT, turn bike off and back on, go through the process again, same result,
I think cjuetten is right about needing 32124-04B, so I call the STEALER I bought it from, "oh, we're sorry, we do not accept returns
or exchanges on those" I said "but I asked your parts guy TWICE if this was the correct one for my bike and he said Yes both times, he even put me on hold
the second time to double check with the service manager", "We're Sorry".
Yea, Eat Sh**, I know you are. That's as far as I got with them.

Got any other ideas?
if not, I guess I wasted $300 bucks on this pos., anybody wanna buy it!, 1/2 price or less! I don't think it "married" itself to my bike.....

maybe I'll get a Zippers or Dyna adj. Ignition module, are they any good?

all I am trying to do is back off the timing a few degrees for the 95" build,
it pings a little when pulling up a hill, I can make it go away with more fuel, but then mileage really sucks and it fouls plugs

You could trygetting acopy ofthe latestsoftware "Ver B ?" from someone who has it.

Another option. Some have posted that the EFI tuner Rev H can be bought separtae for $20 from the dealer. Its possible you can get the latest version of the Ignition Tuner on CD for the same price?

Theone thing that really pisses me off is when you pay Top Dollarfor something expecting the guy behind the counter to really know his stuff.Thenit turns out he's more clueless than the average Joe walking in the door.

Anyways
Good luck

Well, cjuetten is correct, you MUST have 32124-04B for an '06
bike, and the software alone will not work work with the older module "key".
I picked up the "B" version on ebay for $130 from Wolverine HD, and it loaded just fine,
no problem at all..
So, thanks guys for your comments and advice, problem SOLVED!!!

Man, something's not right here. If all you did was tell them what bike you have and they sold you the wrong part, then why should you bear the burden.

I'd take it up a notch or two and talk to someone higher up. Where did you buy this? [:@]

Got it from San Ramone HD, I don't think they will do anything, I am fairly certain it was the parts mgr that I was talking to about it.. and he wouldn't budge...
