Currently my only running light is a very small, dull light on the bottom of my fender. What options to do I have turning my tail-light into a running light as well as retaining the brake function?

 

Replace the bulb? Maybe the running light element is burnt out. Your tail light should be a running light too.

 

I don't know a thing about lighting, electrical, or wiring anything. My darn work computer isn't letting me upload a picture, so I'll have to post it when I get home

As it is, the top one only comes on as a brake light.

The small one on the bottom is my only running light (although it just recently burnt out).

 

your taillight is a brake and running light so you much have an element burnt on the bulb. it's an 1157 bulb with dual elements. Grab one at autozone or such for 1.00
