3496K bulbs, anyone tried them?

I looked at the bulb chart in the DIY forum...but I want to know real world results, not lab tests. Does anyone use them? How long do they last? Are they worth changing to? Are they hard to find? Just curious, I've never heard of them until reading about them here.

I have 4100k in my 02 EG. they are a day and night difference from stock. Havent had them in that long so I am not sure of their longevity. I got mine off of ebay, a bit pricey but I think it is worth it for the extra light.
