Default a newbie question

Will it be ok to install a Big Sucker AC & pc111 with stock exhaust on an 06 Ultra? Or would it be better to wait until I save up for an exhaust system and then install the whole package? Thanks for all replys.

I would think it would be best to wait till you get an exhaust system, your motor will breath better, utilize fuel better but still have an inefficiant exhaust system.

Yes, it will be OK. But, when change the exhasut, you'll have to do/pay for another tuning session. If you can tune it yourself, that's not a big deal. But if you have to pay the shop $300 to do the tune, you'll be wasting some money.

Larry that is the beauty of the pcIII. When you decide to add another component you just call Jamie at Fuelmoto and download another map then install it from your laptop, good to go! Good luck with your decision and welcome. You will find this is a great place for info and you usually don't have to wait long for a response.

If you do it will be marginal at best. Any internal combustion engine is nothing more than an air pump designed to suck air and fuel in at one end and exhaust the burned combustion gasses at the other.
To get more power out of it you stuff more fuel and air into the cylinders. You can do that any number of ways but it can only move as much volume as the most restrictive part will allow. So any restriction anywhere in the path will be the determining factor in just how much volume it can pump.
Even adding a supercharger won’t help past a certain point if you can’t dump the exhaust out fast enough to make room for the new fuel/air charge.
Personally I would do it anyway, then update the PCIII's map when you put on the new exhaust.
