Studder problem after hitting a pothole
Just when i thought all problems were solved. On my way home from work yesterday i hit a large pot hole in the road and my bike acted like it was running out of gas. Loosing power and hesitating. I made it about 100 yards and got off the road. The bike was idleing about 1400 rpm. I jiggled wires nothing worked so i shut it off. After about 2 minutes i fired it up and it ran fine the rest of the way home. home was about 20 miles.
Could the ECM or something just got a big jolt when i hit that hole that threw it out of wack for a minute? I hope this isnt more problems comming down the road,
Any Thoughts?
Thanks guys

Cold Case,
Im not familiar with the wording PCII or V. Could you enlighten me please? I do know i have Screaming Eagle Race Tuner. If thats what your talking about. I will check the ground wires when i get home tonight.
Im not very knowledgable on this stuff i probably know just enough to get myself into trouble...
Thanks

If you have a SERT, you would not have a PC, the PC is another tuning device.
I don't know which bike you have, but if you do a search on ground or battery ground in the corresponding bike forum, you should get some tips. This is very common on a Dyna and there are photos in one of the posts there. Fairly simple to clean and tighten.... but you do need to know how to use a wrench

Same thing happened to me last year
Hit a deep pothole coming out of a driveway. Bike started to backfire and hesitate. Shut it down to inspect and when I started it up it was fine. Never had a problem like it again. Sometimes I think the ECM or PCV just don't like to be jarred too hard. Kinda like my brain.

Watch Guy,
That makes me feel better. I cant find anything loose. I just ran the bike up the freeway where there doing construction and hit alot of small bumps and the bike ran fine. I hope it was just that jar i hit the other day. It was pretty hard hit my butt flew in the air about 3 inches...haha
Time will tell i guess.
