Question Acronyms/ EFI terminology

I am a total nube when it comes to motorcycle EFI and the terms associated with those systems.

For example, I have seen the term A/C used when some of you speak of tuning or "mapping" or tweaking the ECM. (ah ha..I know that one!!)

Is there a page in here someplace that is devoted to deciphering the various acronyms used, not only for EFI, but other motorcycle systems?.

Thank you

That helps and thanks.

Stage 1, stage 2 and A/C still have me baffled.

Stage 1 is fairly unique to the Harley world.

Stage 1 implies Harley sold you their standard "upgraded" airfilter and their "upgraded" exhaust and now they want to sell you a tune that is essentially EPA complient with these "upgraded" parts. It is still smog rated.

Stage 2 implies you messed with the cam or the compression.

All bets are off with EPA compliance if you get into the ECU and start messing with the real tables that control Fuel and Ignition. This stuff is real illegal as far as the EPA is concerned.

A/C is air cleaner, a combination of the filter element and housing.
