Hit A Bump, Bad!!!
First off let me tell you what I am ridding, it is a 91 Heritage Softail with 64, K on it. I was ridding today and hit a bump bad, everything died then came back on with a loud back fire. It then started making a whining noise so I went to put the blinker on to pull over but nothing, no horn, no lights. My ignition switch has a lights setting, and an ignition setting, and an accessory setting. With the motor running on the lights setting I have nothing, on the ignition setting I have horn and blinkers with the motor running. So I pull over and shut off the bike to figure out what the whining sound is, turn the bike off and turn on the ignition switch and the starter is stuck on, no matter where I turn the switch it tries to start, so the whining sound was the starter stuck on while I was driving it. I am wondering what would be causing this, could the hard hit from the bump have caused the starter relay to stick on, can someone help me out I am lost here. Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance.
