HELP! 2012 Roadking just broke down
I picked up my first Harley today and all was going great until about a hour ago I was riding and I heard a funny sound that made me think I ran over a piece of metal or something.
Sure enough half mile later the bike has lost all power and yellow engine light is staying on.
The oil pressure light is ok and the bike is not leaking any fluids.
I read about the EFI in the owners manual and it sounds like the bike is in limp mode with the engine warning light staying on.
I HAVE A FEELING SOMETHING FELL OFF THE BIKE AND THATS THE SOUND I HEARD. A PIECE OF METAL HITTING CONCRETE!!
I am going to ride my mountain bike to the spot where I heard the sound and see if I find anything. WTF!
Damn I was really digging this bike and this happens. WTF!
Bike has 49 miles on it. 13 at delivery.

So after reading the owners manual it does sound like the EFC has put the bike in limp mode because the bike would only let me do about 25mph and according to the owners manual if a componet fails on the bike the engine light stays on and the computer only allows enough RPMS to get the rider home.
I guess this will be the big customer service test for my dealer.
I live super close so they should be able to come and get the bike.
So if this just delivered yesterday 2012 Road king needs to stay at dealer should I expect a loaner bike?
