can any1 help on a Sert map
Hi all,
I have a sert for my 06 Bob, both of which are brilliant if you want my 0.02 worth.
with some help from here and some trial and error i had gotten to the stage of having a reasonable map, with some popping left over , but maybe 60% of the ways there to a good map.
And what happened..?....my fekn laptop died. thanks be to god not while programming the bike, but it does mean i lost my map so am starting again from scratch. (and even more annoying
i lost some great photos as i hadnt backed up in a while. but hey, could be worse.)
I have an idea of some of the things i did on the map, but not 100% sure.
So rather than going thru it all again, to get only 60% of the way , does any1 have a reasonable map suited to a Bob with V&H slip-ons or similar, and SE stage 1 air cleaner. Mine is the european model, so i dont have the 02 sensors.
would be much aprrieciated for any help. anything to get me started or as a comparison to how it drives right now to see how near or far.
ok, goodluck and happy riding.
...p.s......a dyno isn't an option for me and i relaise no map can really do another bike, but just looking for something as a head start or comparison. thanks.

RE: can any1 help on a Sert map
I would start with the canned maps that come with the SERT. Print out the guide which shows the closest mods to yours and try that one. It should be fairly close. My chart shows map #23 (141NP101) for 8 degree injectors and #52 (141NP002) for the 25 degree injectors this chart is in the SE Calibration printout that comes on your SERT CD . Those should get you pretty close and then you can modify from there.

thats actually the one i had started from first day as i have the 25 deg injectors. I think i just need to get stuck into it this weekend. i know when i first loaded that map i had lots of lean running and popping issues.
hopefully when i begin tweaking this time, the changes i made before will start start coming back to memory...or maybe im better off starting afresh without remembering..!!
thanks.

RE: can any1 help on a Sert map
Check out JAMIEWG's posts in this thread. We loaded the map in my buddy's 06 Bob and it is working pretty good. We used the one for pipes. He has one for full pipes and one for slip-ons. Hope it works. If you can't download them, I have them and can email them to you.

RE: can any1 help on a Sert map
hi,
have tried downloading but no luck.
could you send it onto me??...would me much appreciated. even as a reference to see how far some people have pushed the values.
on some i think i may be going a little too careful and then not getting the benefit of the sert. dunno, but a comparison to one of these could do a lot. or load 1 and see the difference.
cool, thanks.
p.s. excellent looking night train..!!!.......
