cruisng along and lost all electrical, engine quit, no spit or sputter,pulled in clutch coasted a while while i fiddled with the ignition switch and let the clutch out and it pop started and didn't miss a beat the rest of the ride. four days later, dead battery wont jump start just solenoid click like a low battery in a ford truck.2000 flhtcui. i think the battery is just a syptom of what is really wrong.

 

Have a real close look at the battery terminal bolts for corrosion and looseness. Next have a look at the main ground above your starter on the support.

 

the battery shorted out which caused all power from the stator to be drawn to ground.then must have burnt open cause it started after pop starting.weird how a shorted batt. could make it act up like that
