Has anyone had the Harley garage door opener receiver just die? Strange thing happened this morning and I heard the garage door open all by itself. It happened right when I was using the multi-remote for the TV so I thought it was some kind of interference. Later today when I start out the garage with the bike the Harley opener would not work. The LED in the receiver is not lit up. I tried unplugging and plugging it back in but that didn't work. Also tried another outlet.
Any ideas?

I just installed my 4th receiver today. The first one died within 90 days and was replaced under warranty. The 2nd one lasted about a year before it died (no light). My 3rd one died last fall after 2 years of service. It appeared to be working (light flashed when cycling my hi-beams) but door didn't open. Hopefully, this one lasts longer.

I came up with a modification to the existing receivers to make them compatible with the newer Security+ 2.0 openers from Liftmaster/Chamberlain/Sears AssureLink. While performing these mods for people, I've come across numerous HD receivers with problems such as poor range, cracked circuit traces, bad relays, etc. I've been able to repair every one of them. If you have a bad receiver, and want it repaired, I charge $35 for the repair and $6 for return priority mail shipping. Let me know if you'd like your receiver repaired for much less than the cost of a new HD one. If you're interested in the Security+ 2.0 modification or a plug-n-play inline module, check out:
