Default Snap-On Torque Adapter

I just finished putting the engine chrome kit on the bottom end of my bike and am getting ready to put the chrome rocker suport plates and rocker covers. Since I am not taking the engine out for this, the manual specifies using 2 snap-on torque adapters (7/16" and 1/2") on a few of the bolts that a regular torque wrench can't get to because of the frame. They look like the attached pic.

Snap-on wants $26 each or $130 for a set. Anyone know of a cheaper source or a GOOD workaround?

I usually but new tools when I need them, but don't see arecurring need for this one.....

They are easy enough to make yourself if you can weld. You should be able to manage with a box/open end combo wrench. Worse case scenario, buy a cheap 7/ 16 combo wrench and open up the open end to 1/2 inch for the torque wrench assuming your 1/2 " torque wrench will go down low enough for this value (inch lbs.). Otherwise use the clicking elbow method

I've seen guys vice grip or hose clamp the 7/16" wrench to another that will accept the 3/8 drive torque wrench also and get the job done too. Necessity is the mother of invention here.
