I just bought a new 2011 Ultra Limited with the 103 in it. I have about 150 miles on it and the engine misses on occasion. It seems to do it when I'm easy on the throttle at around 2000 - 2500 rpms. I took it to the dealer and the service dept. said to complete the break in (500 miles) and run some injector cleaner through it. I've bought other new Harley's before and never had this problem. Anyone have the same problem or advise? Thanks!

 

Dirbike; have you done any mods to the bike, pls. explain "easy on the throttle?" Is it when you're accelerating/decelerating, does it happen all the time, or occasionally? What kind of fuel are you running (91/93 octane)? Sorry for all the questions, but these could help w/assessment...

 

I haven't done anything to it yet, not even a sticker. When I say I'm "easy on the throttle", I'm accelerating slow or just cruising at a low rpm (like riding slow through the neighborhood). It does not happen during deceleration. If I'm harder on the throttle, it doesn't happen. Only happens occasionally. I only put 1 tank of gas in it so far and put in 93 octane. I've been easy on it thinking the break-in would be better. Have not been about 3,500 rpm yet.
