Tachometer signal wire location--'06 Road King
Trying to hook up 2" tach (HD 67564-05a) on my bike--Instructions say to use light green with violet stripe wire in data link but when I connect to that wire, tack needle jumps all over the place while bike is running.
Someone said connect to #3 cavity on speedo plug but I don't see any numbers on plug.
Someone else said connect to pink signal wire on tach--no pink wire.
Anyone have an '06 that has connected a tach that can help with the signal wire location?
Thanks Group

Having the same issue with an '07 RK. Installing a mini tach and in search for the pink mistery wire in the headlight nacelle. Where in the hell is that wire in the nacelle? Have had the headlight out three times trying to find this pink wire but am SOL. The shop manual shows a pink wire in between the ECM and cruise control modual which is correct on my bike. But what is the other pink wire on each side of the cable tray going up the back bone under the fuel tank? The shop manual has no reference to this pink wire at all.
