Cool Need Electrical Diagnsis Help

I have a 2007 Ultra, all of my guages quit working and keeps blowing the 15 amp fuse for the instruments as soon as I put it in so I know I have a direct short somewhere. Everything else works perfect. Has anyone seen this problem?

Definitely a short somewhere. Done anything like with the handlebar switches like change the housings to chrome or anything? Done any other work on the bike or did this problem all of a sudden appear?

No I haven't done anything or added anything to it, I washed it a few weeks before it happened but was just riding it to work one morningwhen it happened.

Ok, which fuse is it that's blowing? ACC fuse or different? Areas to check if it's ACC fuse is rear fender (tire could've rubbed through wiring) or more importantly, pop off the fairing and check the wiring near the brackets (they've been known to rub through) You might even find a broken fairing bracket while you're in there.

It's fuse #1, a 15 amp fuse for the instruments. Which fuse does the harness near the tire blow? I havent pulled the fairing off but I will. I just put a new rear tire on this morning and I wish I had looked at the harness while I was in there. I have looked under the seat and the side panels but haven't seen anything unusual.
