Can anyone tell me the difference between the TFI and DFO besides the hookup(the tfi is installed onto the injector/injector connector and the dfo t-taps into the wiring harness). Are the basically the same?

 

They are the same. The hook up method has nothing to do with the name. The older versions used wire taps. The newer "Stealth" models plug into the injector wires.

 

What does TFI and DFO stand for? Who makes them so I can do some reading before I purchase one....

I have a Wild Things sold by Kurayakn made by Dobeck performance. Very simple to install easy to adjust don't need no puter.

 

They are the same thing, invented by Mark Dobeck. Revtech (Custom Chrome) calls them "DFO" (Digitial Fuel Optimizer) as their own brand name. He worked for Dynojet when they created the power commander, then had a falling out with the company and created the DFO/TFI as a simpler, more affordable alternative.

How it connects depends on the model bike you have. On my 06 the DFO connected right to the injector.
