PCIII Question

RE: PCIII Question
I found mine running at 4% @ closed throttle. I reset it to reflect 0% and now I get very minimal popping on decel. It was not backfiring b4 the reset. Pwer commander said that it could happen and makes sense. I told him I want a custum map and he said if I dont do that I could try this:
Power commander recommended seeting 0 throttle position values from 2000 rpms to redline to -30 then -40 then -50 if this does not work go the other way +30 then +40 , +50 til decel pop stops.
or
I might try what Rhubarb did..

RE: PCIII Question
I emailed Jamie at FuelMoto with my decel popping issue just to see what he had to say. He recommended that I set 0% throttle from 1750 to 5000 RPM at 15. I did that today and I am unable to test these settings because of the heavy rain we are experiencing right now[:@]

RE: PCIII Question
I have asked this question before but have gotten mixed answers, so I thought I would try again. I plan on getting a PCIII in the future, but now is not the best time. The only issues I am having are the following:
Minor pops on decel
Sometimes when the RPMs are high, if I decel then hit the throttle I get a pop or backfire.
These things are irritating, but if they are not causing damage then I can live with it for a while. All the dealers I have spoken to have said it will not cause any damage. You guys seem to know a lot about this stuff, so I thought I would ask yet again.
thanks,
WARG

I am no expert but:
Is it fair to say you have the stage one download? I did not see you mention a new MAP or custom tune.
What im getting at here is if you do have a canned MAP it sounds like you need the SERT or PCIII to install a MAP perfect to your set up.
Im sure you already know this.
Check your plugs for lean. Its easy and will tell you if the popping is damaging.
