Default Taylor made wires

I have a set of 8MM wires that I cut to length and crimped on the coil ends. When I pulled the stock wires at the coil end, the stock wires have the white sleeve and small contact surface.

When I plugged in the Taylor wires they do not seem to lock into the stock coil. Because I have to lift the tank just to gain access I do not want to have to do this again.

Anyone one use the after market wires, or should I go back to stock? Any other advice?

I used the SE 10mm wires on my bike. I'm certain the stock wires work as good as any wires, but I wanted a little color so I used the SE orange. If you want to be sure about fitment, put the stockers back on, or use the SE's, they are pre-made and fit like stock.
