Heat Management

Heat Management
The other day I got stuck in some traffic and the "Heat Management" or EITMS (Engine Idle Temp. Management System) kicked in. It was only about 60* out so I was a little concerned. I was doing some reading and I seemed to run across what I think is some interesting information.
I have an 09 Dyna and the factory EITMS is OFF by default.
I have the TTS Mastertuner and the EITMS is ON by default.
As I was reading I also came across the fact that I have a Calif. model and as such it has a Catalitic Convertor and this statement in the operators manual -
Caution - do not operate cataltic convertor equipped vehicle with engine misfire or non firing cylinder. If you do ........ danager, damage, etc ...
Unless I'm misinterpreting something, sounds to me like I should be disabling the EIMIS on the TTS ???

You should be fine. Non firing cylinder means you're not getting any spark as opposed to a misfire. Problem with cats is if you dump excess unburnt fuel into them (misfire or dead spark) they generate very high heat as they catalyze the fuel which will cause the damage. Since the EITMS cuts off the fuel the cat won't overheat
