Default slow idle return

Sorry....2 questions tonight I guess......
Recently, I have noticed that the idle is slow to return to "normal" on my ride. To explain, on decel...or coming to a stop, at times the idle seems to continue to run high then....slowly return to normal. This is based on sound only....no tach on my ride, but it is apparent. If I stay at a full stop, it will very slowly come back down. Once it stayed high long enough that I "tested" it and without any throttle, it would pull me along when I released the clutch. It isnt constant.....but happens more and more frequently.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Adjustment of the idle may be needed.

Thanks Dawg........can I do that on an EFI bike, or is it a dealer thing?

Exactly the same situation with my '04 WG. When I bought it, after running on the freeway for 20 or 30 minutes in the summer, it would idle really high - not even lope, but a smooth buzz. I dropped the idle some and it's better, but it still does it. I need to dig out (find) my old Sears engine analyzer which has an inductive lead for engine rpm and set the idle correctly. Mine's carb'd - coolrays615, is yours carb'd or EFI?

I don't know - sorry, but I don't know anything about the EFI bikes. I noticed when I brought mine in for the 7500 mile, the dealer set the idle to what I thought was really high. I don't actually know what the idle was though since I have no tach.

You need a digital technician pn# HD-44750 (for my bike at least) to set engine idle speed.
