love this forum.. learn something new everyday.. had no idea nor do i recall reading anywhere in the documenation (dynojet or fuelmoto) about the "exit pc link" feature. One would think (and me being an IT guy) that exit pc link would disconnect from the device. :-)

It does exit from PC but you can poke around on the Power Vision itself the info is mentioned a few times in this thread but I get it its hard to go through it all.

Here is the problem. Ihave been thinking about getting the power vision for my road king. At present I'm running PCV with auto tune. I just finished a 107 build and i have been chasing some pinging. Last map i got from Keith is backing off the timing 4 degrees in the cruising area and im still having some ping at 70n mph on 6th gear. I have read that the ion anti knock system back off timing even when you cannot hear it. Do you guys think that ill be able to have a better tune with the power vision and datalogging? The only issue I have is that I have WB sensors installed so I wont be able to run closed loop.
will i be able to tune out the pinging even before i hear it?

2008is the year bike i 'waffle' a bit on becuse of the crappy stock pipe.
its NOT the PV that uses ION sense, it's the ECM in stock for. Add on boxes kill much more than the O2s. Datalogging, looking at spark can really zero in on ping prpblems. If you are thinking of changing, do it npw, because cool spring weather is thw BEST time to START your timing tables, looking for ping. Then do it again in hot summer, but then you dont adjust timing tables, you adjust spark temp correction table. Doing it in this manner gives the best all around timing year around.
