Jim,
I would not think that by updating your original tune to autotune would change any of the tune tables, I did not see that with mine. As you stated comparing both in WinPV should give an indication of changed parameters, if it doesn't then there may be an issue with the firmware for your specific strategy.....

Still no luck though. I dont mind it, I just want to make sure its not hurting anything. Im getting like 30 to 31 MPG now, so that has gone down. Probably all that extra fuel from the popping. I am still not comfortable enough to tweak anything myself. I keep comparing the maps that dynojet sends just to see what they are tweaking to try and learn.
Your throttle is closed when your decelerating and popping. So it would not be the cause of your poor fuel mileage.

Default Timing

I read alot about pinging and timing problems. Doesnt the power vision auto correct for this. I'm ditching my thundermax for the same exact reason.

The PV will not auto correct the spark tables. You can make the corrections yourself by doing a datarun and then use the logtuner software and WinPV. It will only remove timing from knock activity present. I don't know of any tuners that will advance timing.

The PV does retain the factory ecms knock detection which the Thundermax does not. The PV's datalogging ability allows you to see where the pinhing is happening so you can tune it out manually.
There is some auto adjustment available with the PV, talk with a rep and they can help you with it.

Here is a copy of my timing from 2000 rps to 4500 front cyl. The rear only has few areas and I am still getting knock in the front. I am to the point of thinking about going back to stock. Are cams and heads from F/M

I was getting a lot of knock activity but one thing I have come to realize is I need to have the entire VE tables dialed in before I make any adjustments to the map FM provided me. I hardly ever get any knock activity from my bike and I am confident that with a few more auto tuning runs I will be able to tuine it out 100%.

Well that's not your timing, your timing advance numbers would be in the 20-45ish range, this has to be maybe the delta numbers between your current map and your original maybe?? If so, these numbers aren't obscenely out of line depending on what your starting point was.
No reason to get discouraged. You've got a Fuel Moto build, have you asked them to help?? I'd be glad to look at the numbers if you can send me the actual files and some data log info.

I got answer back from FM on this question and they state that the numbers are an average of spark events per the number hits in that cell and suggested I take 1 degree of timing out of this area and run more logs to see where it stands.

The tune process does not change the spark tables, maybe thats because my numbers are so small, but I am not sure. AND I am thinking you need to go into the spark table and remove some timing in these areas to stop the knock but I am unsure how much, mainly based on the fact that I dont know what the numbers actually mean.
