Does the PV automatically save the stock tune? I thought I saw it, Saving stock tune, on initial set up on the bike. If so, how can I look it up on winpv? Hope I did'nt screw up and lose the stock tune.

Mine saved it in slot 6 when I first hooked it up to my bike. When I first ran WinPV, it asked if I wanted to save it to the computer.

Just put the competition baffles in my Jackpot mufflers and did some tuning runs. Runs real well throughout the rpm range except for when I'm just starting from a dead stop. The temps have been close to 100. Do I need to richen up the AFR?

Lightbulb Adaptive fuel values

I've been monitoring my AFF gauges after loading a new tune. I have been observing swings from 98 to 102 in the closed loop areas, which with my limited knowledge I think is pretty good. That's the equivalent of + or - 2% right? Now onto my question: when I get a reading of 98, is that telling me that the VE of that particular cell is a tad to large; and that, 98% of the fuel required by that cell is actually being delivered?

I'm wondering if I can do a datalog showing the AFF and maybe CLI, could I then use this info to better smooth the VEs of adjacent cells? Or, should I be happy with what I have.

When you marry the PV to your bike it automatically saves and stores the complete binary of the original ECM calibration. To reload it you can go to "Restore Original" and reflash it, or if you would like to view or edit the stock tune you will go to Program Vehicle>Load Copy>Copy of Original> and you then save it to a slot in the tune manager. You can then retrieve it with the WinPv software

I would do get the VE tables tuned in and then try adding some ignition timing in the lower RPM's which should help with response in this area

It seems as tho it did save the original tune to my computer but I cannot load in winpv, message Error Loading. I attempted to load stock tune from PV to ECU. It asked me to select a location to save original tune I choose slot 6. At this time I believe it saved the custom load from fuelmoto. I don'think I have factory tune saved. Now what do I do?

If the AFF and CLI is within a couple % your tune is right where it should be. A value of .98 tells us the ECM has pulled 2% fuel to match the closed loop target, the closed loop integrator (CLI) is a short term/real time fuel trim and the adaptive fuel factory (AFF or AFV) is a long term stored trim, however varies by resolution and block learn area. While it appears you are well within reasonable tune, if you want to work with the tune a bit you can do some logs and use the Log Tuner software to apply these normal corrections to your VE tables directly.

I have the orignal tune in slot 6, and the custom tune in slot1. How do I compare them in winpv. And BTW thanks for all your help.

Thanks Jamie. It happens right off idle when I first take off. It stumbles then backfires.. Should I add timing to both front and Rear cylinders? equal amounts?
