Here's a copy of a tune I've been working on for a few weeks.
2012 Trike
103
Stock cam
Fuel Moto A/C
Fuel Moto Head Pipe
SE Fatshotz, 12 discs, open end caps

I only adjusted the VEs from 2000 - 3500 rpm 0 - 80 kpa. I used the original Fuel Moto values in all other areas of the map.
Lambda values have been adjusted in many areas to run open loop to run a bit cooler in this weather we have been having. As soon as my FCS fans arrive I will run closed loop.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Default New PV software

I've not heard of any "new PV software coming soon". Can someone expand on this?

@ SCHMEDLAB

I heard it straight from Jamie Long at fuel moto usa that there will soon be new firware and software versions for the PV which will help simplify the whole logging and applying of tunes for the users.

What will change and when it will happen no one knows, but it's coming.

What helped me most was reading dynojet's instruct on creating the pvv, and the rest was from Jamie's instrution page + a few phone calls to both for re-assurance, what can I say it's a process.

Here is a link to a re-vised guide on how to datalog.

By the BY can anyone tell me a good way to richen up the mixture without taking the table out of closed loop please? I was told to go into engine displacement and just tell the ecm my motor is bigger than it is. For instance she's a 103 and I was told to try changing that value higher. The other way was suggested to me was tp trick the injectors but I can't confidently change those values without knowing what I can try safely------>> help please!

The new software is in beta. It allows for collection and tune updates without uploading the data back to a computer - it will do it right on the device. I played with it a bit, but it was not very accurate so have been staying with the traditional log tuner method. Additionally, it exposes some new tables (temp spark correction) and additional features. The latter is what I've jumped on.

Temp spark correction that may help me alot, because I get alot more knocking when the engine is hot like 260*f +

Total newb with this power vision, hopefully I'm not asking a question that has been asked a million times, I tried to wade through all the posts, but way too many. My question is this... at step 12 (importing value files) it says to "open original calibration" which on first tuning was the tune from fuel-moto, but on the next sessions, am I still going back to that "calibration" or the altered one I just made, rode around with and just made a new log of? Hopefully I'm clear on my question? I've run the tune from Jamie, then made a log, altered tune using power vision, rode some more, a couple days later made another log which I altered using power vision, then did the same thing over and over about 4 times now. Each time I used the newer altered tune to use as "original calibration". Bike runs really good, just want to know if I'm doing that part correctly or am I looking at going back and starting over. I do get a little knocking when cold, but when completely warmed up (several miles) it goes away.

Hi GeezeR, If you take Jamie's tune and log with it , then calculate and add the new values to it you must save a copy wherever you want and name the file anything you want just add a numeral to it like pv1,pv2 ,pv3 and so on.
Save Jamie's original of course and all of you susequent maps for future reference, and also in case something goes wrong and the bike starts running badly you can always revert back to a previous version.
When you create a pvv and add the logs to it and apply the values to the original it becomes version two. Now you saved it on the comp in a file useing "save as" and then you send that tune to the PV and flash your ecm with it. It becaomes whatever you want to call it version 2 let's say.You have to now datalog with that new tune , create a new pvv with it and log again applying values to it. re- save re-flash and re-log re-apply version 3 and over and over until your satisfied.

Is there a way to see what my injector duty cycle is with the power vision?
Thanks...

Another newb with a PV, just got it today from Fuelmoto. Came preloaded with a FM tune for my Slim with Rush slip-ons (2.0 baffles) and a AN BS Stg 1 (open faced, not using stock filter cover). Followed directions, uploaded the tune and took her for a test ride. Still getting what I would consider an unusual amount of popping and grumbling during upshift mainly 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd gear.
Havent had tim to run any logs yet...but soon.
