In WinPV, there is NO "Speedometer calibration" option under "Gear" in the dropdown tree when the Fuelmoto map is loaded, there is only "Gear ratios". There IS a "Speedometer Calibration" option as well as "Gear Ratios" when the stock tune is loaded. So if I adjust the Speedo calibration in the Stock tune in WinPV, and use the Fuelmoto map on the bike, how will this work? Or am I out of it?LOL
The reason the Speedo Calibration may not show up in some calibrations is due to the software level we were using when we were developing the calibration

My speedos on both my RKC and my Ultra are reading low by 5% (5 Kph or 3.1 Mph), however, my odometer is accurate on both bikes. I'm curious if changing the speedometer will affect the odometer - they should share the same inputs (Tire diameter, gear ratios, etc.) and calculations. If I correct the speedometer and it affects the odometer my bike will rack the miles up quicker - by 5%. I already put a lot of miles on, I don't want to wear the bikes out quicker than I already am. <G>
I just set my speedo and haven't had time to check the odometer (It was snowing again yesterday.). Has anybody already checked this?

To keep everyone informed on the status of the beta-FW and software, there is yet another beta-FW version (719) being tested. It includes the following new signals, each of which can be selected as a gauge:
1. Trip A Average MPG
2. Trip A Distance Traveled
3. Trip A Fuel Consumption
4. Trip B Average MPG
5. Trip B Distance Traveled
6. Trip B Fuel Consumption
If you reset Trip A or B if affects all three gauges. There were already an Average and Instant MPG signal in the old beta-FW (694 and 695) so this just adds to that. A while back when the Avg. MPG gauge was added I suggested adding another. That way you can reset one for an entire trip and another to check mileage between fill-ups. They went a step further by adding the Distance Traveled and Fuel Consumption signals for each trip group. I'm not sure why they added Distance Traveled, since we already have two trip odometers standard, but now we'll have two more. The Fuel Consumption gauges are a good idea, as you can figure-out how much gas you have left.
I still don't know when this will be released as a new FW version, but I'll drop a note here as soon as I know about it. I'd like to repeat that DJ is being very proactive about listening to our suggestions. I'm giving them ideas and am passing along those that you guys are expressing on this thread, so keep them coming.

I have an '07 non-TBW bike, so it may not work the same for you guys with TBW, but for me changing the speedo cal changed the odometer cal the same percentage. Whereas when stock I was +4% on the speedo and +2% on the odometer, I'm now spot-on with the speedo and -2% on the odometer. I'm okay with that, as I would rather have an accurate speedo. Use a GPS to accurately check both, as it would be hard to calibrate either without one.
I figure I've compiled 44k miles (less 2%) with the odometer set 2% high, so the next 44k I'll be working toward correcting that.
If you want to become even more confused, the ECM has both a speedo and odometer signal, and it doesn't necessarily jibe with the one shown on the mechanical speedo and LCD odometer. You can select either as a PV gauge to compare with the stock gauge itself. On mine, the ECM speedo reads about 2% slower than the mechanical gauge, but so far everything is working fine with the mechanical speedo corrected and I'm leaving it where it is for now.

The problem with the odometer clicking up the miles quicker than it should is a minor problem to me compared to always having to remember I can go faster than my speedo indicates without "fear of the law coming down on me". I think a cop would have to be an incredible dick to write a ticket for 5mph over (happened to my son) but the photo radar may not have a conscience. I own several vehicles and other brands of motorcycles, which don't require modifying my thinking, so I don't want to have to do it on my H-Ds.
BTW, I always speed (Unless I'm in playground zones, school zones or anywhere else where pedestrian traffic is high.). I'm going to get tickets anyway so the inaccurate speedo isn't even that big of a deal. I am just curious how the odometer can be accurate while the speedo is out, if that is the case.
The sun is out today so I may be able to do some testing. Yeehaw

Voila! We have some new official updates now available from the Update Client:
WinPV 1.0.20
PV firmware 1.0.3-723
They're supposed to send me a list of all the enhancements, bug fixes, etc. and when they do I'll post them here. Just from memory, here are a few:
1. Instant MPG channel
2. Two Avg MPG channels (Trip A and B)
3. Two Distance Traveled channels (Trip A and B)
4. Two Gallons Used channels (Trip A and B)
5. Gear-position channel
6. Added a reset button for Trip A and B in the Datalog screen.
7. Screen remembers it’s location and position when you power down.
8. New WinPV will allow you to delete tunes from the PV from the "Get Tune" dialog.
I was told they were having problems with the update client earlier, but I was able to download the new firmware tonight with no problems.

At one point this afternoon only previous versions of the patches were available so I reverted back to earlier patches thinking someone may have jumped the gun (Mistakenly put the patches in the update folder.). Now, this evening, I see the new update patches but the same problem exists.
I am in a business where we implement new software configurations and revisions. We never (NEVER) release a new revision after noon on Fridays. The cost is just too high if something goes wrong. I sure hope the partial upgrades don't cause bikes to fail.
For the record, I was just downloading the patches - sending them to my bike would wait until next week.

I think they are still having problems. I see the updates but when I select the "Install this first" 1.0.20 64bit patch it asks me to "Please connect your Power Vision to your PC... yada yada.". I can select and install the other updates (Firmware and database) without problems, I just can't select/install the "Install this first" patch.
