Default Speedo Display

I'm not sure i'm asking this question in the clearest way,but here goes.
Could any users tell me if the Speedometer display is readable/useable for regular use,(when handlebar mounted) as an addition to the tank mounted speedo on the FatBob,& also can the Gear indicator be displayed on the same screen as the Speedo Gauge.
Thanks,Graham.

Check out my photo albums. I've got my RPM,MPH,Eng Temp, Inlet Temp displayed Yellow on a Black background and it IS readable I'd say 90% of the time, only problem is direct sunlight. I hardly use my stock gages anymore. But for some reason the gear indicator doesn't work.

Have you tried to do a data log and see if RPM shows there? Make sure if you data log that RPM is in the list of fields to track before you test.

It is very common to have to tweak your tune for your bike. It is possible that you have an exhaust leak? They are a very common source exhaust popping. I like to use a long piece of rubber hose with on end near my ear and the other near where the exhaust comes out of the motor. Exhaust leaks really jump out at you when the motor is idling with this trick.

Interesting. I don't sense that with my setup, but yours is quite a bit more radical than mine and apparently more sensitive to quick throttle openings. I've ridden with a 13.5:1 vs. 14.6:1 tune (cruise range) and can't really feel any or much difference. Since I only use the richer tune for abnormally hot situations, like gridlock in summer, I've gone to an across-the-board 13.0:1 for my rich tune. I have yet to use it, though.

Ya, after screwin with the gauges I figured out how to get em set up. And I kinda assumed there would be some fine tuning to do, just hate to screw with it when I like the acceleration the way it is now. Not to mention Im gonna have to learn all this new computer tuning stuff.
And ther was no popping like this til I installed the pv. Ive been running these pipes and ac for a while now. Guess it wouldnt be impossible to have gotten a leak all of a sudden, highly unlikely though. Ill call jamie and see what he has to say about it when I get a chance to.
Im very happy with this tuner so far, just woiuld like to resolve the popping issue. Other than that I think theres a ton of awesome features on the pv and im glad I went with it.

Why, after you choose the map you want and select it, does it ask you if you want to change fuel trim, if you have changed air/fuel parameters? It does not say anything about this on fm videos or in the manual.
I hit no cause I didnt know what it wanted when I flashed it. Was curious about it today so I reflashed after I tried a different map only this time with the fm map I hit yes. Havent went out and rode with it yet again due to really shitty weather blowing in. Just curious what its about and kind of on a trial and error deal. This screen come up on anyone elses pv?

That is a normal response on some firmware versions. Did you update the PV to the latest firmware? Answering yes to that question anytime you flash a new map is fine.

You should have two GEARS to choose from you need the GEAR# one and the bike needs to be moving.

Thanks Fierofly,is there a more anaologue/gauge appearance option,for the Speedo/Rpm display,or is Digital only.
Thanks,Graham.

Thanks,Graham.
There are a few analogue gauge options. I know there is at least one with the Speed/RPM combo.
