Default Error

I installed log tuner and it worked, now when it comes time to use it I get this error. The error shows that windows is checking for a solution for a couple of seconds then goes away with nothing happening. I have uninstalled twice and reinstalled but same thing, I even tried to install to different drive. I have 64 bit windows 7. Any Ideas?

IIRC, all '07-'09 bikes need them, but although later models will not activate the check-engine light they will throw historical codes if the sensors are disconnected without adding the eliminators. That won't hurt anything.
You can also use WinPV to turn off Adaptive Control and Closed Loop under Limits & Switches. If you do that you don't need O2 eliminators. The O2 eliminators were included with the PCV because you need to fool the bike into thinking you are still getting closed loop feedback. WIth the PV, you can just turn that feature off.

If you want to make it easier to access the "Exit PC Link Mode" function, click the little drop-down arrow to the right of "Get tune" "Send Tune" toolbar and select "add or remove buttons", then "PV" then check the "Exit PC Link Mode" then you will have a button on the toolbar for it also

Try downloading and reinstalling it again to see if maybe you got a bad download the first time. It can happen. I have it installed on my 64 bit Win7 and it works fine for me.

I didn't think of that, but it makes sense. Good to know, although I will keep the eliminators installed to hopefully keep water out of the connector.

Also note that if you specify anything other than 14.6 in AFR based calibrations that it essentially turns off closed loop and ignores the sensors. Instead of using O2 eliminators all you need to do is put 14.5 (or richer) in the AFR table

I've done quite alot of tuning so far with the PV and I use 14.4 all the time without an issue. Is there a reason you stated only 14.5 or richer since 14.4 has worked for me? Am I doing something wrong?
