tgshoe,
thanks for the reply.
I will get the Smart tune process AF chart off my file and use the normal one.
I think it runs better that way too. But that might just be in my head.
I just noticed that I could have it either way and the directions were not completely clear in that area.
I really like this tuner, and my bike runs like it was stollen,,,I also have tried what was suggested a while back on using 105.5 for the CI setting. The bike has more snort and
is louder too. I tried tuning the VE tables with Smart Tune only in my cruising areas 2000-3000 RPM and 0%-80% but that wasn't exactly what I liked. I changed it to 2000-3000 and 0%-40% and that was more to my liking. the rest of the VE tables I left alone as the bike really runs good with the 103 255 race exhaust basic file, except the the gas mileage. That is what I'm trying to improve on now.
thanks again for your help.
SFS

The tuner only puts the AFR to 14.6:1 so it will run the whole map in closed loop and therefore get data from o2 sensors from the entire map and be able to recommend changes at all cells in the AFR table and not just those that are normally in closed loop. This is why you should not select to enable for reflash and then not reflash. This will leave your entire map at 14.6:1 and would be to lean for long term use in alot of areas. If you follow the smart tune guide you will be fine. After reading and studying the manual and all info you can find you may find other "adjustments" to try. However just following the guide will give good results.

Look up HarleyDroid. I am building the cable now. I just have to go to the Junk Yard to cut a 16 pin cable. I have the BT device, software, and the connector to the data port for the Harley.

It logs to a .csv file, and will log a lot of data. Also has a RPM gauge and Speedometer interface.

Could you explain this a bit more?

Bear in mind that when you check the ST box you are uploading a calibration that is designed for data collection for the purpose of Smart Tuning. You will notice that there is a warning that this calibration is not for regular street use.

Nope... They come like coffins... one to a bike (one per user)

But... there's always a but. It can if you want to switch ECM's with it and either ECM will work on either bike.

I've heard the only dumb ones are the ones not asked.

Speak up there could be a few hundred others that want to ask the same.

Ok you talked me into it! What makes it so that it cant be used with more than one ECM? I understand that it marries to the ecm but why cant it marry more than one?

The exact means is protected but inside the VCI (the tuner box) hold a EProm chip that remembers your VIN# which is associated with your ECM. That chip can't be erased by anyone but the Manufacturer and its software will only write one ECM info to the EProm.

(Best Guess)
