Thanks Ultranutz. That's what I was looking for. Was really hoping the canbus cable would be a lot less than the cable kit, but it is what it is. Thanks again.

Default new version (9.002) new calibration required?

All of this applies to stage 1 2014 low rider.

Just did the upgrade from a version 8? to 9.002 and in the what's new section I see the following ...

103ci / 1690cc Stage 1

old calibration 617BBH253

replaced with A617BBH253

upgrade required? Yes

Does this mean I need to reload the new base tune (A61...) and do new smart tunes using this new base calibration?
Not a big deal - just wasn't sure if I needed to do that and didn't want to try loading the old in case doing so would mess something up.

Thanks!

do you see any differences in the stock 617 vs A617 calibrations? If it's something obviously necessary and you want it, then I'd upgrade your cal in the bike otherwise I wouldn't fool with it.

If you do upgrade it, then simply open both files and copy the tables you've changed from the 617 to the A617 files and write that back to the ECM.

Thanks!

Haven't compared original tunes -- will do that before proceeding.

I had thought about copying/pasting table contents if I did decide to use the new one.

IMO there has to be some difference otherwise they wouldn't have updated it, question is if it's something you'll use and whether it's worth the trouble.

Default File Not Compatible

I am using the pro tuner trying to re-flash a file from the list. When I select the file, hook up to the bike, turn the ignition on in Run, and click Reflash I get this message:

"The selected file is not compatible with the ECM"

I searched and found nothing.

Any idea what is happening?

Thanks.

Sounds like you picked a calibration that isn't for your year model bike.

I think Mr Wiz has hit the nail on the head, but I just thought I'd share something I've got from my limited experience in these matters.

My bike is an 06 with a 95" kit and retrofitted O2 sensors, I run a map from a 2010 Fatboy (Thanks Mac!) So that's from a 96B motor with O2s. When ever I muck around with anything and reflash it I get the warning
'This map may not be suitable for your BIKE, Do you wish to continue?'
And I select yes.
The point I'm trying to make is if it says ECM not compatible, instead of BIKE, maybe you're trying to use a closed loop map from an 06 Dyna/07 Softail onwards, which would not work on a bike that is 04 or older (Unless maybe you change the whole map to run open loop) because that ECM is not capable of receiving O2 sensor input. What bike are you trying this on?

Sorry if I rambled a bit, hope this made sense and was of some help!!
Cheers, Matt!

Sure enough. I tried to use this file on my 2013 which is not twin cooled. Otherwise it is a very good starting point. The search continues.

Thanks Dave

Default Good starting point

Hello, I am hoping someone here can assist me with a starting map suggestion. I have a 2012 FLHTK and just installed the SE high-floe exhaust and the SE ventilator air cleaner. I have the SE Street Performance Tuner and found out after connecting everything and making sure all updates took that HD does not supply a standard map for stage 1 with high flow exhaust. Is there a similar map I could use as a street-able starting point?
