As easy as the plugs are to get to there's no need for the expensive high mileage plugs.

Default Quick Question about the SE Pro Super Tuner

I have a 2012 Street Glide, stock 103ci motor with the V&H 2-1 header and V&H Hi Output exhaust as well as a high-flow air intake. If I buy the SEPST, does it have a base map for this configuration to start with? If so, will that be a good start until I can afford a Dyno Tune or if I find I'm comfortable with the Smart Tune features. I am computer literate as I work on one all day and have a degree in Engineering, just not that familiar with this software.

The software that accompanies the SEPST only has configurations for Harley-Davidson parts. There are no maps for V&H air cleaners or exhaust.

However, you can choose a map with Screamin' Eagle air cleaner and Screamin' Eagle exhaust, both of which are obviously more free-flowing than stock, so that map would be a satisfactory starting point for your Smart Tune.

Thanks for the reply, that sounds like something I could do. I wonder what a custom dyno tune does that is different then the Smart Tune would do for me. I called the dealership but the guy I talked to had no clue about anything. The dyno tuner didn't have time to talk to me, I think I will just go in and see what I can find out.

I suggest (unless your dealer dyno-guy has a reputation for being a good tuner) you find a local independent dyno guy that knows and understands the SE tuner and your bike's mods to tune your bike.

Where are you located? If you're in Jacksonville, FL you have one of the best tuners in the business in Minneola - Docs Performance Tuning.

Can anyone tell me if the vci to bike cable for 14 up can be bought separately? Or is there a cable out there that will work? Trying to keep from having to buy another cable set. I have the 32184-08A cable kit I used in the past.

Yup, you can buy the cable separately, in fact that's the only way you can buy it.

You didn't mention what bike you have, but that part number is a V-Rod cable set.

The 32184-08A cable kit I have is: For use with '01-later VRSC™, '01-'13 EFI XL and XR, '01-'11 EFT DynaŽ and SoftailŽ, '02-'13 EFI Touring and '09-'13 Trike models. Also for use with VRSXSE DestroyerŽ race bike.
Not just a vrod.

The one I need comes in the 41000018 cable kit: Fitment
For use with '14-later XL, '12-later DynaŽ, '11-later SoftailŽ, '14-later Touring and '14-later Trike models.

I have a 15 Ultra but as you can see it doesn't really matter which bike I have. As I stated earlier just trying to keep from having to buy the whole cable kit and was hoping someone might have the part number for the cable I need.

J1850 vs CANBUS technology.

32184-08A is J1850 for older bikes

41000018 is CANBUS for newer bikes and some older softails

unfortunately you're not going to get an HD cable without the kit. Considering the USB cable is probably like $5, you're paying for the J1850 or CANBUS cables anyway.

you can use a TTS cable - part # 2000015A - $35
