For anyone that may be interested in the 2011 Ultra Limited tuning problem, it turned out that the fuel injectors connections were reversed. Plugged them in correctly and the bike tuned beautifully. Thanks to all who tried to help.

Default new owner of 2009 fxdb

I just bought a 2009 Dyna fxdb with a dealer installed SE stageII 103" Big Bore kit. Has a RSD air cleaner and Rhinehart slip ons. I got the stage 2 pro tuner box and patch cords ect. which previous owner said was everything needed to tune bike. All work was done before bike left show room in Iowa and bike has 6200 miles of which I have put on 200.
Elevation here in az that I ride is no lower than 1800 ft above sea level. I feel bike runs well but idles about 1100 rpm, seems a bit fast and maybe a bit rich at the 5200 ft elevation I live at, some black smoke during warm up.
My other 3 bikes which I have built and work on are linkert, delortto and S&S carb models. I have never ventured into the FI ECM realm before. It isn't rocket science or is it? Can I use
my wife's laptop and dial it in my self?
Any tips appreciated.

Not really complicated, just need to wrap your head around what you're doing before you start. There are a couple of "step by step" documents on the forum if you use the search feature.

Thanks for heads up. Dealer was in Iowa, 800 ft above sea level. I'm in az 5280 ft. asl. Got to be some difference in tuning. HD shop wants $100 and use my cable set up. I will watch the 2 cds that previous owner purchased with the whole setup.

Yea, that.

The MAP sensor along with the O2 sensors will compensate for variations in air pressure. Give it a little while at an altitude and AFV will make the change semi-permanent.

I'd be extremely leary of them is the have to borrow your cables. That's funny right there.

You would think that the patch cable set would be the same for all the bikes. Am I wrong? The shop said they would have to get a set before I told them I had what came with bike. Were they trying to get an extra $40 out of me?
