Open the map you use. Ve table open an you will see smart tune. Drag it to box on right, when it open you will see add. That is were you add your recording to update your ve table.

Default AFR table values & closed loop operation?

I thought I read that the AFR table cells had to be 14.6 to be in closed loop operation. I see that mine for the original calibration are set at 14.3, but are shown as bold. Is there a range for the AFR cells that stays in closed loop? It appears anything less than 14.3 is open loop, but I can't find any reference to this in the help files except for the 14.6.

Note that this is for the new bikes with Lambda-base cals only. afaik on the lambda cal, the closed loop AFR depends on the set CLB voltage.
On earlier bikes, 14.6 means closed loop and anything else open. the actual AFR may still be something else adjusted with CLB

Yes, the new maps made this change.

Not a bad idea too. It was pretty messy having offset voltage set in the CLB tables and guessing what AFR this might result in for closed loop operation. Much simpler to just set the AFR once in the AFR table for all cells including closed loop.

If you set values outside of what the O2 sensors can manage (generally 14.2:1 and less) then you are in open loop for those cells.

Default SEPRT Map difference?

What is the differance between these 2 base canned maps that come with the SEPRT?

2010 2012 Touring
1690 "All Market" SE A/C & Race Exhaust
009FZ002 FT, OE, OE, OE

2010 2012 Touring
1690 "All Market" SE A/C & Race Exhaust
044AAO003 FT, OE, OE, OE

I loaded 009FZ002 in buddies bike, now time to do mine. Just wondering what the difference is and which would be the better to start smart tuning with.

His bike is a 2011, 103 SG, mine is a 2012, 103 SG both with V&H's power duals, RCX Slipon's and RCX breather.

I know I read about this before. no definitive reason there are two possible ones.
The 009 files keep on being OK up to 2012 however the 044 files start for 2011>. so I loaded both and compared. ECM PN is the same. Tuning, spark is identical. AFR small differneces in the high load area, same in cruising. VE differences are minor. Conclusion I have not found any reason to have two base maps available for the same configuation model year.

since the 009 has been around a while, and you used it on the 2011 why not use the 044 on the 2012 then copare the finished maps.
