74749-08 Nostlagic Face speedo tach

Hi is there any reason why this speedo/tach 74749-08 for a 08 Roadking will not fit a 08 Softail deluxe. any suggestions? Harley says it won't work!

i believe the thickness of the speedo is about an 1/8 of an inch difference.

Hi, are you talking the diameter or how much taller the gage is? Wonder how difficult to make it work.
